Our Cremation Services

Basic Cremation

Our charge for direct cremation includes the basic services of the funeral director and staff, local transfer of remains to crematory, alternate care of cremains for identification, and the crematory fee.  A medical examiners fee of 100.00 (VA) or 25.00 (TN) will be added to the direct cremation charge.

State and local law do not require a casket for cremation. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials with or without an outside covering. The containers we provide are manufactured with composition materials. The minimum of an alternative container is required by the crematory and Virginia  statute.

1. Direct cremation with alternative container provided by purchaser: $1,495

2. Direct Cremation with alternative container provided by crematory: $1,645

3. Direct Cremation with minimum casket: $2,390

4. Direct cremation with casket selected by purchaser would be this fee plus the cost of the casket: $1,495    

5. Direct Cremation with highest priced casket acceptable for cremation: $3,495
